Flipkart, STOP CHEATING! High time you got back to honest practices

Flipkart had humble beginnings. They were honest, their service was great & they gave the best deals to the consumers. And because they did well & kept up the hard work, they grew. The word 'Grew' is kind of an understatement.. they exploded or rather painted the whole Indian e-commerce scene red, blue, green, cyan, purple, indigo & even 'marsala' for you fashion forward folks. But guys that's all past now (RIP the good old version of flippy). (Flippy cuz flippy sounds good, innocent & honest, unlike FLIPKART which almost sounds like an evil robber saying false things while eyeing your wallet)

Flipkart is no longer the honest flippy we knew of. Success has gotten into flipkart so bad..that it has pretty much drained out every bit of good the site had to offer. Maybe it's not just success, but the sheer amount of competition amongst online stores that has scared the bazookas out of them & have made them greedy selfish nutty zombies who have pretty much forgotten how it all began or why they started it in the first place & now their greed infested zombie brains have only cheat schemes as growing strategies.

I am a chronic online shopper, & when I have nothing to buy, I am more of an online window shopper. So, it's safe to say that I endlessly browse through catalogues of clothes, shoes, cosmetics, bags & the sugary good stuff on every almost every online store. And while I do that, my brain subconsciously picks up little bits of information while I drool over products. One such piece of information intervened while I was on my routine online window shopping trips. It was these pair of workout tights that were one price on one site & on flipkart the MRP was three times that price which was  slashed with a huge discount (big numbers like 60-70% off) to finally bring down the price to a point a little lower then the other site. I brushed off my brain's signals..thinking it must have been a mistake & never bothered cross checking the price on the other website. This happened sometime last year. And then on I realised that Flipkart had made this scheme its best friend & stuck to it like superglue. Henceforth I have an advice for you all, everytime Flipkart announces a 'HUGE SALE'.. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR IT!

What flipkart does is, it makes the MRP freaking high & then slashes it by huge numbers only to come down very very close to the ORIGINAL MRP but only a little lower, thereby fooling customers about their unnaturally awesomesauce discounts. Currently they have their 'MINIMUM 55% off' sale going on, and it is a sham. Don't believe me? well, here's the proof to their muddy pudding,

The Calvin Klein Downtown EDP, 90ml is available on Amazon.in for Rs.4600

The very same perfume costs Rs.3726 after a discount of about 19% on the MRP of Rs.4600 on shopperstop.com.

And for the finale, drum roll please..

And FLIPKART manages to increase the MRP to a whopping Rs.8199!!! And then gives a discount of 65% to reach the selling price of Rs.2835.

Seriously, Flipkart.. Why? Why such fooling & falling & failing? This is only one instance shown here but I have spotted this cheat-scheme a zillion times with your site. Like why? Why all the lies? Trusting you is difficult now. I miss the old flippy. Get your act right Mr.FLIPKART.COM And get well soon!

Sporty Chic

Normcore fashion is something I enjoy a lot. Easy, breezy and comfortable are my 'go-to' words when it comes to defining my style. But that said, I do like tweaking things around trend-wise to suit my mood and my style. Yup, I am a mood dresser (aren't most of us?!) and I love it because it lets me experiment with different trends, looks etc. So here's my compilation of a sporty-chic-meets-normcore-sequin-love look.
(ps: some of these items are on my 'to-buy' aka lust list :P)
Outfit details:
American Eagle sequin sleeve sweater
Monki Miracle purse
Monki Dotte jacquard skirt
Nike Roshe run Pink trainers

Hope you all liked the look!
xoxo :)
